Lindsay & Matt Elope in the Park || Fine Art Wedding Photographer Boston

When Matt and Lindsay invited me to document their intimate wedding in Piers Park, I was particularly honored, as only 4 other people would be participating. Lindsay asked her cousin Jess to officiate the ceremony and her husband Joe acted as ring bearer for the couple. Afterwards, we took Lindsay and Matt’s children (oops, I mean poochies) and headed over to Winthrop to make some images of the newlyweds and their beloved pups. I loved everything about the day, from attempting to get a ring shot that involved the doggies (evidently diamonds are Not a dogs best friend) to the impromptu group hug that commenced directly after the wedding ceremony concluded. This tiny wedding was such a wonderful way to start my season! Stay tuned for images from M & T’s reception at the Aquarium, which will take place in July!

Staci & Matt in love || Artistic Boston Engagement Photographer

Because Staci and Matt had their first official date at the Museum of Science, they thought it would be fun to begin their engagement session there. There were so many odd and lovely places to make images in the museum, I hardly knew where to begin! After exploring the MOS, we ventured outside and strolled through parts of East Cambridge and Back Bay. Spending the afternoon together proved to be particularly delightful because as conversation unfolded, I realized that they share my dorky love of Science Fiction and Fantasy! Nearly an entire half hour was devoted to chit chat about Orson Scott Card, Game of Thrones, and other Sci Fi/Fantasy that we have read and loved. Needless to say, I can’t wait to spend more time with Staci and Matt on their wedding day at Oceancliff!

Boston Engagement Photography || Marisa and Adam in Love

I ventured out on a cold March afternoon to make engagement images with Marisa and Adam and was delighted to discover how mischievous and playful they are together. Even the most serious of moments inevitably disintegrated into some sort of laughter-filled fracas.

Adam met Marisa at a dog park in the South End. To start the session, we headed back to the location where their romance began and brought their dog Wrigley along as well. The rest of the afternoon was spent wandering the streets of South Boston, visiting the numerous areas where Marisa and Adam have lived since they began dating.

Marisa and Adam will be wed this October at the Ritz Carlton in Boston. Stay tuned for their wedding images this fall!

Vanessa + Erik || Boston Wedding Photography Ritz Carlton

I have always felt that the chillier months are inherently more romantic. Perhaps it is because the cold fosters a desire to “cuddle up”, or maybe it is because crackling fires always feel so intimate, or that taking a walk in the snow is such fun when done with the one you love. I’m not quite sure. Yet despite all my convictions, weddings are far more infrequent in the winter, which is why I relish them greatly when one comes along-

Documenting Vanessa and Erik’s January wedding was particularly enjoyable for a number of reasons. Vanessa and Erik are so very complimentary together. I loved observing all the subtle ways that they balance and edify one another. Their relationships with their respective families were very close-knit and unique. The bride’s sister is Rachel LoVerme Rosenfeldt, who is an admired acquaintance and colleague in the wedding industry. It was wonderful to be a part of a day that was very special for her.

The event ambiance was also stunning–candles abounded, as well as moody reddish pink lighting that truly created a sexy space for the reception. And last but not least, I was documenting the event with Ben Schaefer, who is an amazing photographer and partner in crime

The wedding was orchestrated seamlessly by the delightful (and ever so slightly mischievous) Linnea Tangorra. As always, the Ritz‘s staff and coordinators crafted a perfect experience, and Dana Markos conjured up all of the lovely florals and candles for the celebration.
