I have photographed many events at the Ballroom Veronique, but every time I am there, I discover tiny details I never noticed before. This time, it was the endearingly retro leopard-esque wallpaper that adorned the walls of a coatroom. It reminded me of my grandfather’s house. One of the rooms therein had been lovingly dubbed the “jungle room”by all of the grandkids because of its wild animal theme. But I digress… As soon as I spotted the nook I just described, I knew it would be perfect for portraits of Nate and Sarah. It seemed to embody their quirkiness and sense of fun and complimented Sarah’s beautiful little Melissa Sweet frock.
I really dug this wedding. All of the guests were terribly hip, professional camera gear abounded, Sarah and Nate’s beautiful and bright sense of love and friendship for each other was SO tangible, and of course the Chicken Slacks were just as fabulous as usual..
